Tony has been teaching for 36 years of which 25 years focus on IB education. He has worked in IB schools in Guangdong and Jiangsu, and served as the Deputy Head and Head of K-12 IB schools for nearly 10 years. Tony is one of the first group of IBDP Examiners in China.
He is a research scholar at the President's Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a research scholar on Presidential Leadership at the University College London School of Education. In 2018, Tony won the China's Most Influential International School Principal, and in 2019, he won the Sina Education International Talent Training Demonstration Award.
Rick Spadafora
Academic Principal
Rick has been deeply involved in middle and high school education for more than 30 years, and is familiar with IBDP, MYP, IGCSE and Canadian curricula, with more than 20 years of teaching experience in the IB program. He has 17 years of experience in international school management, and has served as Vice Principal, Deputy Head of School, Head of Senior School and IBDP Coordinator, and has successfully led a number of international schools in and out of China in completing their IB authorizations and evaluations.
Rick has extensive experience in teaching IBDP English Language and Literature and holds an Executive Master’s degree in International Educational Leadership and Change with an East Asian focus. In addtion, Rick has degrees in English Literature, Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in International School Leadership.
Flora Huang
Assistant Principal
Flora received her master degree from Sun Yat-sen University. Having been committed to secondary education for over 20 years, she accomplished her goal of being a qualified teacher with honors and awards mainly including the Outstanding Class Teacher of Guangzhou, Outstanding Private School Teacher of Guangdong, and the First Prize Winner of Excellent Thesis on Family Education.
Her teaching career was enriched by her leadership experience of teaching management at the middle school before she joined the GZFLS IBDP.
Jessica Huang

Jessica has 15 years of experience in international teaching and management and is familiar with mainstream international courses such as IB, IGCSE, A Level and AP. Her students have attended world famous schools, including Oxford, Cambridge, Cornell, Chicago and other famous schools. Jessica has been an IBDP Chemistry Examiner.
Aucamp Johannes Mathys
DP Coordinator
Johan's teaching experience spans 30 years. He has taught Middle and High School and held various positions in leadership throughout this period.
Before arriving in China in 2019, he was Deputy Principal at a prestigious private school in South Africa and recently was the Diploma Coordinator at Zhuhai International School.
He is a passionate educator who actively participates in workshops focused on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and (IB) Diploma Programme to enhance his teaching skills.

Wendy Bo holds a Master’s degree ofscience from the University of British Columbia (UBC), anda Bachelor’s degree of biotechnology from Sun Yat-sen University.
As an experienced lBDP Biology and ESS (Environmental systems and societies) teacher, shebelieves in the lB core values deeply and always try to model it for the students.
Wendy Luo
Deputy Coordinator of Pastoral Care
She has been teaching for nearly 40 years and has studied at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
She used to be the head of the English Section in the school, and a member of the Secondary School English Teaching and Research Association in the district and city. She was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award of the Higher Education Examination of Secondary School English Subject in Guangzhou", "Active Member of Secondary School English Teaching and Research Work in Guangzhou", and "Excellent English Teacher of Secondary Schools in Guangzhou". Excellent English Teacher". She has been awarded several times for counseling students to participate in Qiu Chengtong Middle School Science (Biology) Competition.
She had been the head of grade and director of moral education office in Guangzhou No.6 Middle School for more than ten years, and has comprehensive experience in school moral education management. She was awarded three times in three consecutive years by the district government for her outstanding work, and was recognized as an advanced worker in the district, and was twice recognized as an "Outstanding Teacher in Guangzhou".
She was elected as a member of the 7th CPPCC Committee of the district.
